Spanish FA ruling rejects Friday & Monday LaLiga fixtures

The RFEF (Spanish FA) have announced new kick-off times for the first three match-days of the season previously scheduled by LaLiga.

A judge working for Spain's 'Competition Committee' has sided on behalf of the RFEF (Spanish FA) which has led to an amendment of the kick-off times for the previously scheduled first three match-days of the 2019-20 season. The ruling sees those games already scheduled for Friday and Monday to be allocated Saturday and Sunday time-slots. The resolution stipulates that, going forward, Spanish first and second division games can only played on days other than Saturday and Sunday with express permission from the FA.

LaLiga immediately responded to the news, issuing a statement against the "attack" on LaLiga by the Federation and stated that the matter will be resolved by a state lawyer on August 7th with the situation pointing to yet another incident in the ongoing battle between head of LaLiga Javier Tebas and his counterpart at the Spanish FA, Luis Rubiales.
