Lucas Hernández debuted with Bayern Munich on Saturday and was asked in the mixed zone after the game by AS about Joao Felix at his former club as the Portuguese youngster continues to make a name for himself at the Wanda Metropolitano.

How have your first months at Bayern been?

"I'm very happy. After being out so long injured, between the operation and all the work to get gere, I am happy to play my first game as a starter. We played a great game."

Are you 100%?

"I am getting there but I'm not there yet. It's normal after so long out. But today against Schalke, I played close to 80 minutes and I found myself quite well. Little but little, I'll get back to my best level."

What was key when it came time to pack your bags?

"I lived my whole life in MAdrid. The project at Atlético really enthused me but at the end, my family and I decided for a change of scenery and culture. I also really wanted to switch leagues and Bayern is one of the five best clubs in the world. I came to fight for everything and I hope to achieve all of my objectives."

Bayern players know how to speak Spanish thanks to your teammates Thiago and Javi Martinez. Have you created a little group in the dressing room?

"They have recieved me well. Renato spoke Spanish too but at the end, he left us. Now, Philippe has arrived and we have a nice little group of latinos at Bayern. But at the same time, there are many French speakers, and I have adapted well."

Will you follow Cholo from a distance?

"They have strengthened really well and I wish him the best, that's obvious. I hope they get as far as possible in all the competitions and finish high in the league. This club has given me everything and I will always hope the best for them."

They love Joao Felix at the Wanda.

"He is a great player and I hope he has many successes at the club and the fans. They deserve him."
