Not just Neymar: PSG expecting four intense days
PSG are working against the clock to complete their squad ahead of the transfer deadline as they fight on many fronts to improve Tuchel's choices.
PSG are working against the clock. With just a few days left in the transfer market, Neymar is their main concern but the French club are working on several fronts to improve their squad before September 2. Leonardo, along with the club's other directors, are working to put the finishing touches on the squad with or without Neymar.
If Neymar does seal his move to Barcelona, they will move immediately for Paulo Dybala. The Argentine does not necessarily have to leave Juventus but the club are open to offers. He will be the priority if PSG and Barcelona manage to agree on a deal over Neymar in the coming days.
They have recently sold Arthur Zagre to Monaco for €10 million; they do still hold a stake in any sell-on fee. They have made an effort this summer to sell in an order to comply with Financial Fair Play protocol and many of the younger players in the squad have been handed one-way tickets out of the French capital as a result. Those sold have been sacrificed for a potentially massive signing to come in to help improve the squad.
PSG continue to dabble in the transfer market
They are waiting to see if Stanley Nsoki leaves before Monday and they are weighing up several offers for the 20-year-old defender. Metz are one team mentioned as a landing spot for the player but a more realistic option at the moment is a loan deal to Lyon.
At the same time, they have to resolve the issue they have in goals. Keylor Navas could be on his way with Alphonse Areola moving in the opposite direction. A deal was said to be close but Mina Raiola says not deal has been struck.
PSG are pursuing many frontiers with just a few days left in the window while Thomas Tuchel, the club's manager, only wants to know about the players he has at his disposal. "The main target is to get to September 3 and after we can think about the composition of the team," he said as the questions about transfers continue.
