Neymar: "I am here to give my life for PSG"
The Brazilian footballer gave his views of the current position to Le Parisien after he, once again, acted as the saviour for the Ligue 1 giants.
Neymar has been decisive with his goals in three of the last four league games for Paris Saint-Germain and says his relationship with the fans is improving following the hatred that grew in the summer. The Brazilian did, after all, try his best to leave the French capital for a return to Barcelona.
Neymar making PSG amends
“I’m very happy to be able to help PSG," he said to Le Parisien following his most recent heroism that clinched a win over Bordeaux on Saturday. "It’s better with the fans.”
“I am here to give my life for PSG," he continued in what appeared to be a bid to shorten the path to redemption. "They are my team, my goal is to help my club, and to continue to score goals.”
The connection he has with the fans has been difficult in recent months but Neymar had his own way of seeing how this was developing as he delivered on the field.
"It's like a relationship with your girlfriend. When there is a problem, neither of you are talking. But with lots of cuddles and love, it starts to return to normal."

Adding to the positivity around the side that humiliated Real Madrid in the opening group game of the Champions League was the sight of Kylian Mbappé. The French forward made an appearance as a second-half substitute and within ten minutes had laid a goal on a plate for his Brazilian strike partner.
“The most important thing is that these goals are decisive, in close games," Neymar added. "That’s why I’m here.”
“It’s clearly a pleasure to link up with Kylian again. He returned with a smile and his footballing talent.”
