Rodrygo: "Zidane was my idol, I always watched videos of him"
The Brazilian speaks about his adaptation to life in Madrid and Spain, speak of his relationship with Zidane and his connection with Vinicius.
Four months have passed since Rodrygo, 18, was presented as a Real Madrid player. In that time, he has come to know what it feels like to be adored by the Real Madrid faithful after he came on against Osasuna and stroked home to become the second fastest scoring debutant at the club after his compatriot Ronaldo. He was originally slated to make up Raúl's squad with the occasional place in Zidane's team when rotations were needed.
The teenager has been in and out of the squad, however, during his first year at the club but has been on fire when given the chance to play with Castilla. He says he is adapting well to life at Real Madrid and in Spain.

"My adaption has gone well," he said in Brazil during international break. "I live in a really nice city, at the biggest club in the world, with the best footballers in the world, who have really welcomed me in. It was easy to adapt."
After his first goal, Zidane wasn't slow to praise the youngtser. "His control is the absolute business," he said. And Rodrygo says his relationship with the manager is going swimmingly.
"My relationship with Zidane is really good," he said. "He was one of my idols, I was always looking at videos of Zidane, he always inspired me. To have him as my manager is something wonderful. He won everything and has a lot of experience to share with me. He is a man who loves to speak and give advice. I make sure to learn and develop."
There has been some comparison between Rodrygo and his Brazilian teammate, Vinicius, who is into his second year at the club. Their former manager says Vinicius is slightly more ready than Rodrygo and the latter is hoping they can be teammates for the long term.
"Vinicius has been my teammate since our time with Brazil, I hope that our connection works well for many years at Real Madrid," he said.
