Barcelona starlet Ansu Fati is in contention to make his debut for Spain Under-21s when Luis de la Fuente's men take on Montenegro in qualifying for the 2021 UEFA European Under-21 Championship on Tuesday evening.

After being given clearance by FIFA to represent Spain, 16-year-old Fati was called into the squad on Friday following Barça club-mate Carles Pérez's withdrawal through injury.

The tournament holders, who won their fifth continental title in Italy and San Marino in the summer, travel to Podgorica with a 100% record in qualification so far, having beaten Kazakhstan and Montenegro in their opening two Group 6 matches.

Meanwhile, Spain's hosts sit on just three points despite having played two games more.
