'Gareth Bale cannot tolerate pain well' - SER
There have only been two medical reports published for the last six injuries that the Welshman has had, and Cadena SER have stated a reason for this.
Gareth Bale's injury situation has, once again, become a major talking point and a concern in recent days. The Welshman was injured during the international break and has not featured for Real Madrid since. Further information continues to emerge in reports across Spain.
Bale's pain tolerance
One of the most surprising elements to the story is that no medical reason has been confirmed for the current lay-off. Everything has been kept secrect and that lack of transparency has aroused suspicion. As we reported recently, Bale has taken refuge in the Data Protection Law preventing his medical examinations from being made public.
Spanish channel SER has reported further information on this growing topic of interest, stating that the problem is to do with Bale's pain threshold.
"It is an issue that has been with Bale since he arrived," they report. "From the very beginning he explained to doctors that he is a player who does not tolerate pain well." This is the reason they give for him not wanting his injuries to be known.
Bale is relying on the confidentiality that must exist between doctor and patient so that information about his injuries is not shared. The last medical report that was offered was back on 5 January 2019, and before that we have to go back a further 15 months to find the previous one, issued in September 2017. There have only been two medical reports made public for the last six injuries suffered by the winger.
