Coutinho screamer adds gloss to third-gear Brazil win over South Korea

Brazil vs South Korea live online: second half

90+3

And that's it! Thanks for joining us.

90+3

A lovely move from South Korea just needs the finishing touch but as has been the case all afternoon, there's nobody there to apply it.

90+2

Richarlison thinks he's through but the lino's flag says otherwise.

90+1

Emerson fancies doing a Roberto Carlos and lets rip from distance but doesn't trouble Jo in the slightest.

90

Three minutes added.

88

South Korea are still pushing to get on the scoreboard here but they can't find a way through.

86

Emerson comes on for Lodi and Rodrygo enters the fray in place of Gabriel Jesus.

85

Richarlison won't have many better chances than that to add to his six international goals but makes a hash of it when clean through.

84

Paquetá heads off to an ovation after a decent afternoon's work, Roberto Firmino comes on to replace him.

83

At the other end Kwon Chang-hoon forces Alisson into a regulation stop with a fairly tame effort from the edge of the area.

82

Coutino almost adds to his tally for the afternoon as his shot clips a defender's heel and loops up over Jo but the keeper recovers to pluck the ball out the air.

80

Arthur makes way for Douglas Luiz.

79

Sub Kwon Chang-hoon spots Alisson out for a constitutional and tries to make the Liverpool keeper blush from his own half. It wasn't that far off in fairness.

77

The Atlético man is back up though. Double change for Brazil coming up.

76

Look away now Diego Simeone... the ref beckons to the touchline as Lodi, who has been excellent this afternoon, goes down in agony.

75

The Spurs man takes the corner but fails to clear the first man.

74

Alisson called into action action as he pushes Son's effort over the bar.

73

Arthur has a pop but the Barça man isn't going to beat Jo from that distance.

71

Alisson forced into a rare save as Kim Jin-su pounces on a defensive error from Danilo and lets fly. It was straight at the Liverpool keeper but he still couldn't hold it.

70

Gabriel Jesus! The Manchester City striker fancies getting his name on the score sheet but his shot fizzes past the near post.

68

Son is down in a heap in the Brazil half... he looks to be in a spot of bother after a hefty challenge but gets back up with a wince.

67

Richarlison! The Everton forward bursts down the left and hits a shot at the near post that flies just wide.

65

Bit of a lull in the middle of the second period. South Korea have understandably let their heads drop a bit after that third goal. Movement on the Brazil bench now as well, Casemiro among those warming up.

63

Hwang off, Na Sang-ho on for South Korea.

59

A cross from the left slips through the entire South Korea defence and the Juve full back cracks a shot from the edge of the area. Jo gets a glove to it but it was hit with such venom that he couldn't keep it out. 3-0 to Brazil!

59

Goooooooooool! Danilo! What a strike!

That's quite the statistic...

56

The Warriors are pushed back though and look to build from the back again.

55

Paquetá again with some nice footwork in the area. He gets the shot off but it's deflected behind for a corner. South Korea clear it and break...

54

Paquetá! The Milan striker gets a head to the delivery but can't guide it on target.

53

Free kick for Brazil as Hwang Hee-chan sends Coutinho flying out on the left...

52

Son lets fly from somewhere out near Pluto with predictable results. It whaps into the stands behind Alisson's sticks.

50

Richarlison thought he had a sniff of a penalty there as Jo came out but the Everton man went down under no contact. Goal kick. Good refereeing.

49

Hwang Hee-chan almost wriggles through but Brazil clear.

47

The Warriors have come out of the blocks sharply in the second half and put together a nice flowing move but Fabinho is there to clear the danger.

46

We're back underway! South Korea get the ball rolling.

Plenty for Paulo Bento to ponder at half time. South Korea have certainly looked dangerous going forward in the first half but need an early goal in the second half to get back into this contest.

45+1

And that's the half! Brazil lead 2-0 thanks to goals from Paquetá and that screamer from Coutinho.

45

One minute added.

44

Corner for Brazil as Kim Moon-hwan nods Coutinho's chip into the area behind. Paquetá almost gets a shot off but the move is pulled back for offside anyway.

42

Richarlison holds up his hand in apology after clipping Ju in midfield.

41

Brazil escape! Jung Woo-young hits a low shot hard at Alisson, who fails to gather. It falls to Coutinho, who pokes it back onto his own post and then out on the second attempt!

40

A lovely passing move from South Korea almost puts Hwang Hee-chan through put the Warriors have a free kick on the edge of the area themselves now.

39

Jo charges out quickly to smother a ball that had drifted dangerously into the area with two yellow shirts in pursuit.

38

But this time the Brazilian finds the head of Kim Min-jae instead of the back of the onion bag.

37

And Brazil have another free, with Coutinho over it... practically the same distance.

That was Coutino's 17th goal for Brazil. Not a bad haul from midfield.

36

The Bayern man cracks an unstoppable shot into the top corner to make it 2-0! He's not hit many as sweetly as that lately.

35

Gooooooooooool! Coutinho! What a hit!

34

Fabinho is sent flying by Hwang Ui-jo, who puts in what we'll charitably describe as a striker's tackle right on the edge of the area...

33

Hwang Hee-chan goes in the book for clattering Lodi to the floor.

32

Son delivers and Lee Jae-sung gets up well to meet it but his header flies over the bar. Decent chance there.

31

And they win a corner as Lodi mops up at the back...

29

Danilo and Kim Young-gwon get into a tussle with the South Korea vice captain winning a free. Paulo Bento's side are growing into the game now and look dangerous every time they go forward with some slick passing and good movement.

27

Militão! What a block from the Madrid man with Hwang Ui-jo bearing down on a fine cross. That would have been a tap-in for the Bordeaux striker!

26

Richarlison! The Everton forward skips into the area and draws a fine stop from Jo.

25

Lodi, who has looked anything but stuck on the left, gets away and clips in a cross but it's deflected out for a corner. That falls to Danilo but the Juve man skies a decent chance from the edge of the area.

24

Free kick to Brazil as Paquetá is scythed from behind by Kim Jin-su.

23

Some lovely footwork from Jesus out on the right earns Brazil a free-kick as Kim tires of his trickery and sends him to the turf.

22

Brazil on the back foot all of a sudden. Tite's side haven't managed a clean sheet in six games.

20

Son clips it into the near post, causing panic in the Brazilian back line. The Spurs man gets a second bite of the cherry from the rebound and curls a right-footer just past Alisson's far post.

19

Danilo clips Kim Jin-su's heels and is lucky not to go in the book for that. South Korea have a very tempting looking free-kick here...

18

Brazil win a corner and Marquinhos whips in a beauty. Militão gets up above the defence and lands a header that appears to hit a Koren player and ping out for a corner, but the ref signals for a goal kick, much to the Real Madrid man's changrin.

16

Brazil threaten at the other end but some slick passing gets South Korea out of trouble and onto the front foot. Hwang Hee-chan breaks but is body checked in midfield. The Warriors are starting to get a foothold in the game now

14

Son! The Spurs forward lets rip from outside the area and it's low and hard but Alisson deals with it.

13

A nice move from South Korea breaks down in the box as Son is closed down by two defenders.

12

Son chases a ball down the left but gets into a tangle with Militão, the Real Madrid defender doing enough to deny him the ball and win a free kick.

10

Lodi clips in a cross and it takes a deflection on the way into the area, sending it into the path of the Milan forward who nods past Jo from close range to give Brazil the lead!

9

Gooooooooool! Lucas Paquetá!

6

Brazil stroking it about with confidence in the middle of the park but South Korea are well set-up and there's no obvious gaps for the Canarinha to exploit.

4

Hwang Hee-chan starts a promising break for the Taegeuk Warriors but his back-heel is misjudged and trickles out for a throw.

2

Brazil with the early possession but a long ball forward runs straight through to Jo Hyeon-woo. Lodi makes a decent run down the left and squares but the South Korean defence clears it without any fuss.

1

We're off!

The players are out and the anthems underway!

We're about five minutes away from kick-off in Abu Dhabi...

Ah, here we go, Brazil's starting XI has been announced. Richarlison will lead the line with Coutinho and Gabriel Jesus either side. Militão and Lodi start, with Danilo also given a run-out on the right. Milan's Lucas Paquetá and Barça's Arthur start in midfield with Fabinho

Atlético Madrid full back Lodi is expected to get a start for Brazil today, with Real Madrid's Éder Militão also in line for his eighth cap. Will we see Rodrygo from the start? Possibly not, as Tite has warned against burning the Madrid forward out.

The fans are getting into the spirit ahead of the game but we have to wonder... why does Brazil's Canary always look so angry? You have to pity those poor kids.

You have to go back 20 years for South Korea's last victory against the Canarinha, when Jung-moon Huh bagged the only goal of the game at the Olympic Stadium in Seoul

Back in 2002, the freshly minted World Cup winners won a friendly 3-2, with goals from Ronaldo (2) and Ronaldinho. Ki-Hyeon Seol and Jung-Hwan Ahn provided the replies.

These two sides have met a few times before, most recently in a friendly in 2013 when Brazil won 2-0 with goals from Oscar and Neymar.

South Korea's starting XI: Son Heung-min starts as captain with Bordeaux striker Hwang Ui-jo up top.

There's no Neymar for Brazil today with the PSG striker remaining in Paris as he recovers from injury, but the future does look bright for the Canarinha after their under-17s lifted the World Cup.

The Brazilian squad has arrived at the stadium, with Canary in tow...

South Korea meanwhile have been held to a goalless draw in their last two outings, against North Korea and Lebanon in World Cup 2022 qualifying.

The Canarinha's previous four fixtures threw up draws with Nigeria, Senegal and Colombia and a 1-0 defeat against Peru, who had been beaten in the Copa América final by Brazil just a few weeks earlier

Tite's Brazil are in need of a confidence boosting win after a run of five games without tasting victory - the latest a 1-0 defeat to bitter rivals Argentina

Hello and welcome to AS English's live coverage of Brazil vs South Korea from the Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.
