Getafe away - Real Madrid's first game of 2020
Madrid opened the doors of the Alfredo Di Stéfano stadium in Valdebebas to the public for the annual Open Day. Around 5,300 fans watched the players taken through light exercise drills but it was business as usual on Tuesday as Zidane's team started preparations for Saturday's league meeting with Getafe at the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez - the first game of the New Year.
Zidane will be without Marcelo and Lucas Vázquez for the Getafe match. Both players are nearing the end of their respective rehabilitation programmes and medical staff are hopeful that they will be availble for this month's Spanish Super Cup which this year, will be played in Saudi Arabia. Madrid make their debut in the tournament on Wednesday 8 January against Valencia. Two players who won't be playing any part in that match are Eden Hazard and Marco Asensio, both continue being treated for long-term physical problems.
Hazard: "See you soon"

Real Madrid return to Valdebebas later this evening for a training session which will start at the later time of 17:00 hours.
