The new head coach, Vlatko Andonovski, has confirmed the USA's roster for the 2020 Concacaf Women’s Olympic Qualifying tournament.

Morgan, Lavelle y Rapinoe en la Copa del Mundo

The United States Women’s National Team will be competing in the 2020 Concacaf Women’s Olympic Qualifying tournament from January 28 to February 9 in Texas and California. In the roster confirmed by head coach Andonovski, Alex Morgan is the biggest omission. The USA co-captain will not represent her country due to the fact that she is pregnant.

Andonovski has named 20 players in the roster, including veteran World Cup winner Megan Rapinoe. The team will open the tournament against Haiti, with the top two finishers qualifying for the Olympics in Japan. Then the USA will face Panama on Friday, January 31st before finishing Group A facing Costa Rica three days later.

The USWNT will attempt to qualify for the Olympic Games for a seventh consecutive time, as well as win a fifth-consecutive Concacaf Women’s Olympic Qualifying. This will be the first big tournament for the new head coach, Vlatko Andonovski, so a lot is expected from him.
