Sebastian Cordova arrived to America in 2018 and has already played four semesters with the team and in the past two he has been fundamental to Miguel Herrera. His good performances took him to Mexico’s national team and now an European club has set his eyes on the 22-year-old.

According to Spanish media outlet ‘El Desmarque’ Betis have been looking at Sebastian Cordova and even asked America about his buying clause. The attacking midfielder has played two games this Clausura 2020 because he was injured in the beginning of the year.

The same media outlet confirms that Betis will be looking at him all semester and has been following Cordova and Jose Juan Macias since last year. The Spanish club followed them when they both played with Mexico’s national team against Bermuda and Trinidad and Tobago, where Cordova scored a goal in his last game.

More European clubs asked for Cordova

Other teams like Ajax and PSV are also looking at Sebastian Cordova, but Benfica was the first team to ask for Cordova according to multiple reports. Have in mind that America and Betis have a good relationship because they have sold Diego Lainez and Guido Rodriguez in the past.
