PSG eyeing Real Madrid's Sergio Reguilón
Real Madrid full back Sergio Reguilón, who is currently on loan at Sevilla, is high on PSG's agenda of potential defensive reinforcements, according to RMC Sport.
Paris Saint-Germain are keeping tabs on Real Madrid right back Sergio Reguilón, who is currently on loan at Sevilla until the end of season.
PSG are set to lose left back Layvin Kurzawa at the end of a season on a free. And 23-year-old Reguilón, who has had an noteworthy campaign with Los Nervionenses, is one of the players high on the Parisian club’s agenda of potential replacements, along with former Madrid defender Theo Hernandez (currently at AC Milan) and Porto’s Brazilian left back, Alex Telles, according to a report by French outlet RMC Sport.
Reguilón started the campaign well at Sevilla before hitting a slump. However in the final few games before LaLiga’s suspension due to coronavirus, his performances had once again picked up.
The young Spanish defender currently has a contract with Madrid until 2023. Sevilla is studying the possibility of extending his stay at the Pizjuan for one more year; however such a scenario looks far from clear at the moment.
Reguilón: Real Madrid right back “loves” Sevilla
By his part, Reguilón has always maintained that he is very happy in the Andalucian capital and recently declared his “love” for his team mates, the people and the city.
Speaking a few days ago, the Madrid full-back said: "I know what Monchi (Sevilla’s sporting director) thinks; he loves me very much. I also love my team mates, the people, Sevilla and the city. But when the season ends, I have to return to Madrid and we'll see what happens with everything.
“Until then I’m only thinking about finishing the season well, doing my best and starting from that base, whatever God wants. In terms of work, desire and effort, I'm going to give my all. And I'm not just talking about for Monchi or [Julen] Lopetegui (Sevilla’s coach) anymore, it's because the staff at the club have also shown me all their love from day one. My colleagues, with whom I spend the day to day, make my life easier. People greet me and cheer me on the street ... I have always felt a lot of love for me in Seville.”
