There is another formal proposal on the Congress table called the CAAF Act, which calls for a second round of stimulus checks that are worth $1,000 per person regardless of age or dependent status, and would benefit a lot of families struggling during the pandemic.

The plan is to send a $1,000 stimulus payment to all American citizens equally. Unlike the CARES Act, the money will be available for families with adult dependents, such as college students.

Under the terms of the bill, an eligible family of four featuring would therefore get a total of $4,000, for example - $600 more than it was entitled to as part of the CARES Act.

CAAF Act follows HEALS Act stimulus check proposal

This is the second proposal in the month of July. The first one was the HEALS Act, which would give Americans a total of $1,200 per individual.

So far it is known that in order to qualify for the second stimulus check a person needs to make less than $75,000 a year, while if you are married and filing a joint tax return, it would be under $150,000. If the head of household makes $112,500, they would also qualify for the Coronavirus Assistance for American Families Act.
