Sergiño Dest scheduled for a medical ahead of FC Barcelona move
FC Barcelona’s coach Ronald Koeman confirmed the arrival of Sergiño Dest to the club as he completed a medical examination on Wednesday.
Sergiño Dest arrived in Barcelona on Tuesday and on Wednesday the club's coach Ronald Koeman confirmed that he would be undergoing a medical examination to complete the move. The 19-year-old chose FC Barcelona over Bayern Munich after an impressive season with Ajax last year.
“Sergiño Dest is undergoing a medical examination. It is important to have young players for the future of the club,” Koeman said.
Barcelona’s fifth signing
FC Barcelona agreed to pay up to 25 million euros to Ajax for the United States international and when the move is complete, Dest will be Barcelona’s fifth signing this summer.

According to Mundo Deportivo FC Barcelona will pay the Dutch team 20 million euros, with another five million in potential add-ons. An initial payment will be made to Ajax for Dest with the rest spread out throughout the season.
