Moroccan media reports on Monday suggest that four Raja players have returned positive covid-19 results following their clash against their Egyptian club Zamalek in the first leg of the CAF Champions League semi-final.
According to the Moroccan website, sport.le360 the tests that have been taken by Raja players following their game against Zamalek have revealed that four prominent players of the team's squad had contracted the virus.
Key players ruled out of second leg clash
The reports confirmed that Mohsine Moutaouali, Omar Arjoune, Anas Jabroun, and Abdelilah Hafidi have returned positive tests, like their teammates Mohamed Zrida and Ayoub Nanah, who tested positive for the virus on Saturday.
The news makes Raja's mission more difficult before the return leg that is scheduled for next Saturday, especially after the 1-0 defeat in Casablanca. The four players won't be able to be part of the team's squad heading to Cairo, while Zrida and Nanah who are asymptomatic patients were set to undergo further tests to decide whether or not they can be part of the second leg squad.

Some Moroccan reports revealed that Raja Casablanca intend to submit a request to CAF in order to postpone the semi-final second leg after the total number of covid-19 cases among players has reached six. The club have yet to officially announce the news.
