Maradona’s best goal: a sublime strike against Juventus
An indirect free-kick in the box was the opportunity for the Argentinean wizard to work his magic, straight into the top corner.
Diego Maradona has passed away aged 60 from a heart attack, leaving us his legacy of stunning football moments, including this peach of a goal scored against Juventus in the 84-85 season.
Despite being so close to the goal, Maradona was able to swerve the ball vertically, first up over the wall and then down again into the net, in the top corner, of course. The goal, too, was the only one of the match, giving Napoli a home win over Juve, who were leading that table at that point.
