Anthony Martial comes on for Mason Greenwood as United look for goals from the old reliable. The Frenchman is just back from injury and wasn't risked from the start.
United have had to sit back and soak up the pressure over the last few minutes as City go all out attack.
What a chance for City! Harry Maguire has blocked down a shot by Kevin de Bruyne from 8 yards out that was destined for the back of the net. Biggest moment of the second half so far.
Pogba passes to Fernandes in the box, who tries to cut a quick pass back towards Rashford first time. However, the ball is cut out by a City defender before it reaches the United striker's right foot.

City's first chance of the second half comes from a Fernandinho long-range effort but it goes well wide.
Well so far neither team has given any indication that we are in for a more entertaining 45 minutes than that drab first half.
Chance United! Pogba releases Rashford who is in space near City's penalty area but the shot is a poor one from the English striker as the ball travels wide of the near post.
Penalty for United awarded after Walker fouls Rashford in the box. However a VAR check shows that Rashford was clearly offside before he recieved the pass.

Peep, peep, peep! Half-time at Old Trafford as the game remains goalless. City have had the three best chances of the game so far but United have also showed intent. It could go either way. Let's hope for a more eventful second half!
Greenwood tries to weave into space to line up a shot from just outside the box. We all know what he can do from 18 yards and so do City as they scramble to block the shot.
Another chance for United comes through a corner, as Lindelof heads over the bar from Fernades' delivery.
What a chance for City! How did he not score?
City break beautifully from their own half. Gabriel Jesus gives a short pass to De Bruyne in United's third, who quicky plays the ball wide to Mahrez. The Algerian is in acres of space as he lines up a shot inside the box, but he blasts it directly at De Gea. De Bruyne has his face in his hands in disbelief.
United have had five attempts so far with two on target. City two attempts, 0 on target, but with the two best chances of the game so far.
Chance United! Textbook corner as Harry Maguire connects with his head from Shaw's delivery. But the ball goes over the bar. Perhaps United's best chance of the game, which says a lot. United have shown intent but have been unable to engineer anything significant so far.
Another chance for City from a well-delivered free kick by the touchline, but Lindelof is able to stop the danger as Stoned tried to get a head to it from 6 yards out. That was the Swede's second important intervention so far.
Chance City! Mahrez plays the perfect ball into the box to Gabriel Jesus, but the Brazilian scoops the ball over the bar. Two best chances of the game have fallen to City after Sterling's a little earlier.
Shaw delivers the corner cross towards Pogba, but he's beaten to the ball by a City head and the visitors clear the danger.

Chance City! De Bruyne plays a quick one-two pass back to Sterling, who skips pass two United defenders before his close-range shot is blocked by Lindelof. That was the best chance of the game so far.
Lindelof plays a great ball over the top towards Fernandes in the box. The Portuguese watches the ball come over his head before trying to volley it first time. But he fails to connect well.
Fred needed some attention after a clash with De Bruyne and it seemed the issue is with his hip. Mata warms up, but eventually the Brazilian is able to continue.
Pogba floats a fine ball over the top for Fernandes in the box, who wins a corner as he tried to pass the ball towards the penalty area.
First attack fro United as Rashford tries to burst forward all on his own. But he's eventually swarmed upon by Stones and Walker.
An uncharacteristic mistake from Fernandes, who loses the ball as the tried to play it forward from a defensive position, allowing City to break. But the visitors eventually can't take advantage of the gift from the Portuguese.
Danger for the hosts as De Bruyne tried to release Gabriel Jesus, but Maguire cuts out the through pass, which may have been better played to Sterling, who was in a worrying amount of space from a United point of view.

Bruno Fernandes' arrival at Manchester United was met with a wide variety of responses from fans and pundits alike – while excitement was certainly among them, there were also those doubting his credentials.
Paul Pogba is back in the Man U starting line-up following talk of his imminent Old Trafford exit mid-week, instigated as always, of course, by his outspoken agent and proud member of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's Christmas Card blacklist, Mino Raiola.

Pep's pre-match comments on Solskjaer
Pep Guardiola says it is important to know the value of under-pressure Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
"It is important to know the value of Solskjaer, there is no doubt about this.
"I don't have to give him support because he is strong enough and knows how this job works.
"When we win [people say] we are a genius and when we lose [people say] you have to be sacked. It happens at United and all around the world, it is a reality."
Both teams come into the game off the back of midweek Champions League action. Hosts United were beaten 3-2 away in Germany to RB Leipzig, which saw Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side crash out of the competition.
City brushed aside Marseille in a 3-0 home win in Group C which sees them progress to the Champions League round of 16.
