Same-day delivery on offer from some supermarkets
The home delivery market has experienced an unprecedented surge in 2020 with millions of Americans unable or unwilling to leave their homes. Same-day delivery services has thrived in these conditions and Evaline George, director of business communications at Shipt, said it had because a convenience in these circumstances.
“Early in 2020, we had a goal for people to view same-day delivery not as a luxury, but as a convenience. What we have seen is that the American consumer and retailer have embraced that," she told USA Today.
If you want to take advantage of this convenient new way to shop this Christmas Target is offering same-day Christmas Eve delivery for orders placed as late at 5pm on Thursday 24 December. Orders can be placed on the Target app or website and are delivered through Shipt.
