Bills vs Colts: times and how to watch on TV and online
The NFL Playoffs kick off with what could be a electric encounter between AFC number 2 seeds the Buffalo Bills and the seventh-seeded Indianopolis Colts.
The NFL Playoffs get underway this Saturday, 9 January with the lunchtime meeting of the Buffalo Bills and Indianapolis Colts, the first of six Wild Card round ties this weekend.
The Bills achieved a lot this season to secure their first home playoff since 1995, winning its first division title since 1995 with a record 13-3 thanks mainly to the contribution of quarterback Josh Allen, who has put his hands up for the Most Valuable Player Award.
"I think it's just the guys we've brought in and how hard everybody's working," Allen said ahead of the game. "How much we care about our team, our brothers on the team, and our families off the field. We're not trying to let anybody down and we're here, we have a purpose and I think coach McDermott has been doing a good job of preaching that purpose to us when we're on the field.
“We know how much this means to the city of Buffalo and the fans here and the alum that have played here. It's a special place to play football but at the end of the day we're on the field just playing for each other."
Coming into the game with an 11-5 record, the Colts will have a tough task against the Buffalo team, who are the firm favorites to claim victory. The Bills are the No. 2 seed in the conference, and the Colts are the No. 7 (lowest) seed in the conference, and have already been written off by many commentators.
“The pressure is not on us. We should be loose, aggressive and freed up to play our best game of the year. No one is going to give us a chance,” Colts head coach Frank Reich who is a former Bills QB.
“Obviously, it’s a special place,” Reich said. “But this is a business trip. Fortunately, I’ve been back to Buffalo a few times since as a player and as a coach. I feel like I’ve gotten all that out of my system. It’s unique, because it’s the playoffs,” he added.
“I love Buffalo, will always love Buffalo, will always be a Bills fan – except for this Saturday, for sure. On Sunday, though, they did us right.
