Stefan Nomez was eager to visit Aspetar during the Doha World Judo Masters tournament, to learn about the ways it serves athletes by applying the most modern systems in the world.

During his visit for the Doha World Judo Masters tournament, Stefan Nomez, President of the French Judo Federation, praised the Aspetar sports medicine and orthopaedics hospital in the city of Doha.

“Aspetar is a world-class hospital, as it provides all the facilities that athletes need to recover and rehabilitate after operations. I was amazed by the ways of treating athletes who undergo treatment.

“So, I hope Aspetar's services can be taken advantage of through a collaboration between the hospital and the Judo Federation, in order to contribute to treating the French judo players, which will therefore allow us to benefit from the potential of Aspetar.”

Nomez was eager to visit Aspetar during the Doha World Judo Masters tournament to learn about the ways in which it serves athletes by applying the most modern systems in the world.

For his part, Peter Duch, manager of Aspetar, presented the president of the French Judo Federation with a commemorative shield.

In augurated in 2007, Apetar is a pioneering hospital in sports medicine and orthopaedics and a first of its kind in the Middle East, which is associated with the Aspire Zone Foundation. It provides comprehensive high-level therapeutic services for all athletes. In 2009, Aspetar was accredited by FIFA as a centre of excellence for sports medicine.
