When and where is Super Bowl 2021?
The 55th Super Bowl will take place at the Raymond James Stadium, Tampa, Florida on 7 February 2021, with the game being broadcast in the US by CBS and ESPN Deportes (Spanish Language). Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. ET. (You can see here what time the Superbowl gets underway wherever you are in the world).
That means the Playoffs’ fifth seed, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers made history in becoming the first franchise to play a Super Bowl on their home turf.
This will be the fifth time that Tampa has hosted the Super Bowl, with the last time being Super Bowl XLIII in 2009. It will be the fourth time that the Super Bowl will be in the same state in back-to-back years, as last year’s Super Bowl LIV was hosted at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida.

"We all grow up watching the world's biggest acts playing the Super Bowl and one can only dream of being in that position. I'm humbled, honored and ecstatic to be the center of that infamous stage this year," said the Grammy award winning singer.
Will there be fans at the Super Bowl 2021?
The number of fans allowed to attend will depend on how the coronavirus pandemic situation is unfolding. There is still the possibility that the game will be played behind closed doors.
The initial announced attendance capacity was 16,301 (25% of stadium’s full capacity) but the NFL remains uncertain about how many fans will be permitted to watch the game, with commissioner Roger Goodell stating that Super Bowl 55 will have ‘as many fans’ as can be done safely.
Tampa has had fans in the stands. In its most recent home game against the Vikings, Raymond James Stadium hosted 16,031 spectators, including a mask-wearing Goodell.
“I think the way we’re approaching that is we’re going to be taking that not on a day-by-day basis, but obviously the safety of our fans and the community are going to be No. 1,” Goodell said during a conference call with Tampa Bay media a few weeks ago. “We will be working with public officials and the health officials to define that as we get closer to the game.”
“We’re going to try to bring as many fans as we can safely do into Raymond James Stadium, but we’ll be working with the local officials on that. ... I’m not sure there’s a specific number that we are confident saying this is what it will be. But obviously our focus will be keeping them safe, whoever is there.”
