Chelsea bosses don’t want to sell Christian Pulisic

Christian Pulisic is in his second season at Chelsea, but injuries have prevented him from reaching the level he showed in his first year at Stamford Bridge. The United States international has only started in two of Chelsea’s last 12 games since Thomas Tuchel took the job, replacing Frank Lampard.

In Saturday’s draw against Leeds United, Pulisic made his first Premier League start under Tuchel but was subbed in the second half. The 22-year-old has usually come on as a substitute and his uncomfortable situation at Stamford Bridge has other big clubs in Europe interested in signing him this summer.

Pulisic has been linked to Liverpool, Manchester United and Bayern Munich according to several reports in the past weeks due to his lack of playing time at Chelsea. Also, according to FourFourTwo, the team from London is keen on signing Kingsley Coman, who currently plays with FC Bayern, and this could open the door for Pulisic to leave the team at the end of the season.

Chelsea board want to keep Pulisic

According to journalist Simon Phillips, however, the Chelsea board have no intention to sell the United States international ahead of next season. The Blues paid Borussia Dortmund $64 million for Pulisic in 2019 and they are confident he can become a key player at Stamford Bridge.
