Haaland cools talk on Real Madrid and Barcelona interest

With Real Madrid and Barcelona following the striker's career, he spoke about a possible transfer: "I still have three years left on my contract. I'm not worried about that."

Erling Haaland spoke about his future at the Norway training camp in Marbella. The Norwegian striker, currently being monitored closely by Real Madrid, Barcelona and other major European clubs, stressed that it is not the time to make decisions: "I still have three years left on my contract, I'm not worried about that."

Together with Kylian Mbappé he is on the path to becoming the next big star in European football for the next decade, however, he feels he is yet to reach those heights: "Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi ... are still very far away."

Haaland left fuming after Dortmund draw

The ruthless striker starred in one of the images of the weekend in Borussia Dortmund's game against FC Koln. Haaland scored two goals but saw his side drop two points against the struggling Bundesliga side. At half-time he was frustrated by the performance and at the final whistle he stormed into the dressing room, after throwing his shirt at Spanish player Jorge Meré. Meré, who had asked him for the shirt, didn't get a handshake as the young striker flew off seething.

"I was pretty pissed off after the game. I had a wrong reaction by throwing the shirt at the guy who asked for it. I apologise for it. I couldn't control myself because I was pissed off," he told the media.

His attitude has generated plenty of debate. There are those who praise what happened, arguing that Haaland demands only the highest levels of performance. On the contrary, others will argue that there are lines that should not be crossed. His gesture has gone viral and has caused mixed opinions.
