Real Madrid vs Eibar: how and where to watch: times, TV, online
All the info on how to watch Real Madrid host Eibar at the Alfredo Di Stéfano as LaLiga returns after the internationals on 3 April, 2021 at 16:15 CEST.
Real Madrid host Eibar as domestic action resumes following the international break with Zinedine Zidane’s side rejoining the chase for the Liga title. Madrid remain six points adrift of Atlético and two behind Barcelona with 10 games of the season remaining and have little room left for maneuver with a Clásico on the horizon. “It’ll be a high-intensity clash. They’ll come here firing on all cylinders,” the Madrid manager said in his pre-match press conference.
During the international break there was a little curio for the history books when Spain lined up against Georgia: not one Real Madrid player featured in the starting line-up. Eibar coach José Luis Mendilibar had more players on the pitch in the 2-1 victory for Luis Enrique’s side than Zidane, with Bryan Gil making his Spain debut during the FIFA break. Due to a mixture of injuries and form, Sergio Ramos was the only Bernabéu representative in the latest La Roja squad, which was staffed by as many players from Leeds, Brighton, Napoli, Leipzig and Sporting Lisbon as from Real Madrid.
That Ramos returned from rather unnecessarily earning his 180th cap in a five-minute cameo against Kosovo carrying a calf injury that will sideline the Madrid captain for the Clásico and the double-header against Liverpool was rightly brushed over by Zidane as one of those things and losing the influence of Ramos at such a critical juncture is par for the course given the Frenchman’s injury woes this season.
For Eibar, Zidane can at least call on a more experienced squad than he has been afforded at other times this season and Toni Kroos passed a late fitness test to bolster a midfield missing Fede Valverde while Eden Hazard and Dani Carvajal remain unavailable.
Mendilibar has fitness concerns over Edu Expósito, Yoshinori Muto, Rober Correa and Cote with Gil, Kike García and Takashi Inui likely to be handed the task of picking holes in a Ramos-less back line on Saturday in a game subscribers in the US can watch on Fanatiz.
