A fierce contest in Group C for a quarter-final spot

In Group C Wydad Casablanca have guaranteed their place in the quarter-final but it's still uncertain whether they will qualify as the group winner or the second placed occupant.

Wydad are now top of the group with 10 points while the second qualifying spot is still up for grabs with both Horoya of Guinea and Kaizer Chiefs battling for it in the last round as both sides are leveled on 8 points.

Zamalek hang onto the last hope for a spot in the quarter-finals

As for Group D, Zamalek of Egypt have recently revived their qualification chances slightly with a 2-0 away victory over MC Alger who sit second in the standings on 8 points behind the leader Esperance Sportive who claimed 10 points.

In order for last year's runners up to proceed to the quarter-finals, they have to win their game against Senegalese Teungueth on Saturday while Mc Alger have to lose against Esperance Sportive.
