PSG preparing for life without Mbappé
Telefoot claim that the Parisian giants are considering a number o scenarios should the striker depart with one including the incorporation of Leo Messi.
With the clock ticking down on the current 2020/21 season, there are still doubts remaining as to where Kylian Mbappé will be playing his football next season. According to French outlet Telefoot, the Parisian club are looking at a number of scenarios should the striker decide to move to Real Madrid.
At present negotiations are ongoing between the player and the club with no headway being made by the Ligue 1 side in getting the forward to opt to renew and remain in Pairs. PSG sporting director Leonardo is optimistic that the 22-year-old will ultimately decide to stay in the French capital. According to Telefoot, the striker is anxious not to disrupt the season for PSG with the club still participating in the French Cup and Champions League and Pochettino's men second in the Ligue 1 battle and a definitive decision from Mbappé is anticipated at the end of the campaign.
A failure to renew his current deal would not mean an exit for Mbappé with his current deal expiring at the end of the 2022 season with the possibility of one of Europe's hottest striking properties leaving on a free at the end of next season. In the meantime, the Parisian club are working on a number of scenarios and looking at possible candidates to replace the young forward.
One of the names at the top of the PSG is that of Lionel Messi who is also out of contract but at the ed of this season and talks are a -foot between the Argentine and the new FC Barcelona board. PSG coach Pochettino has requested Tottenham striker Harry Kane with the name of Mo Salah also being linked with the Ligue 1 giants.
