REAL MADRID-OSASUNA

Zidane: "I'm not particularly pleased that Barça lost"

The Real Madrid coach admitted in today's press conference that the league title race is very difficult - as is managing the Madrid squad.

Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane appeared before the media this afternoon to look ahead to tomorrow's league meeting with Osasuna. Madrid go into the game with the title race wide open once again after Barcelona's home defeat to Granada

Are you happy about Barcelona's defeat? "No, LaLiga has always been complicated, and will be right up until the end. It doesn't please me when our rivals lose, we have to focus on ourselves, we want to win this league and we are going to try to do so right up until the last day. But without looking that far ahead, first we have to concentrate on tomorrow's game".

Ramos: "He's training with us, he's fit to play. We'll see, we will put the list out later this afternoon. Sergio is ready".

Marcelo's jury service: "It's just one of those things. He will comply with his obligations, but it won't change anything, he'll be with us on Wednesday".

Rotating the team: "Nothing's changed as far as we are concerned (because of the Barça result). We have no control over what happens elsewhere. We control what we can control. And that's what we are focused on. We will be putting out the best team in order to win the match. That's all. But it's true that there are a lot of games and minutes accumulated, we have had to make a lot of changes because players have been out injured and things like that. A lot of things can happen over the course of a season. The important thing is to be prepared. We want to compete in tomorrow's game".

The Osasuna game: "We are still in the competition and we're still fighting. We are taking it one day at a time, preparing for the next game. We are nearing the end of the season and we are only focusing on our next match. We will do everything we can to win it".

Fatigue from constantly playing: "We've done what was convenient at the time. It's not easy to manage a squad like Real Madrid's. Everyone has their own idea about what to do, but working on the inside, it's not that simple. But it's my job and I try to do the best I can. But in spite of that, we've still had a lot of injuries, many difficulties. Who's to blame? the doctor, the physio, the coach...? It's been a strange season in many ways. Preparation is fundamental, at least it is for me. We train then we play. It's been tough, sometimes we haven't been able to prepare. We manage it the best we possibly can. We'll keep going until the season ends".

Prioritising one competition over another: "Not everyone can play tomorrow, so someone will be left out. I know I can sound a bit boring, I am always saying the same thing, but you cannot think about Wednesday before tomorrow. Whatever happens in life, we have to think about doing a good job tomorrow. That's what we plan to do, go out with the best team possible to take three points".

Tight at the top: "I don't know what the key will be. We want to get as many points as possible. There are four teams in the fight and it will be like that right up until the last day".

What have you learned this season? "That when you encounter problems, there is always a solution. We always look for that solution. We'll keep doing that right to the end".

Mendy: "He's still not back with us. We'll see how he is getting on day by day, at the moment, he's not training with us".
