Bucks vs Heat LES

The Milwaukee Bucks finished out their regular season home slate with a convincing 111-122 win over the Miami Heat in the final game of the penultimate night of the NBA regular season.

Bucks still fighting for the two seed

The Bucks will still have an eye on the second seed in going in to the playoffs, as they hope for a Nets loss tomorrow, which could leave the door open for Mike Budenholzer’s men.

Milwaukee came in 2.5 games back of the Eastern Conference leading 76ers, and a game and a game back of the Nets.
Miami was dealt a blow before the game even tipped off, after Jimmy Butler was scratched from the line up in warm ups. The Heat were without their leading scorer, and going up against the top scoring team in the league.

Milwaukee came out firing in the first quarter. Led by Giannis Antetokounmpo and Brook Lopez, the home side posted 44 points in the first quarter. The Bucks led by double digits the rest of the way as Miami never seemed to find a rhythm without Butler.

Milwaukee sharing the rock

Seven different Bucks were in double digits with Khris Middleton and Bryn Forbes topping the charts with 21 points, while Jrue Holiday had 20 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists.

Tonight was the 41st time Milwaukee has scored 120 points or more.
With no Jimmy Butler, someone had to step up for the Heat, and that someone was Kendrick Nunn. The point guard had 31 points, and seemed as though he was scoring with ease. Nunn didn’t get much help though, as he was the only Heat player in double digits at halftime.

There was a point early in the third quarter when Miami made a run and cut a 19 point halftime lead to 10, but the Bucks responded stretching the lead back out to 19 and from there crushed to victory.

One more day left in the NBA Regular Season

Tomorrow is the last day of the NBA regular season, and the Bucks could sneak in a steal the two seed in the East.  They would need a win against the Bulls and a Nets loss to the Cavaliers. If that doesn’t happen we could very well see this same match up in the first round of the NBA Playoffs.

The Greek Freak complained about fatigue after Thursday's win over the Pacers saying "I'm trying to save as much energy as I can,"

Second question: How much will Bucks Coach Mike Budenholzer use Giannis Antetokounmpo tonight?

There are two big questions coming into tonights Heat-Bucks game.. The First: Will this be a preview to a first round match up in NBA Playoffs?

Hello everyone, and welcome to AS English’s of tonight’s contest between the Miami Heat and the Milwaukee Bucks from the Fiserv Forum.

If the regular season ended tonight, this would be a first round matchup in the NBA Playoffs, which start on May 21st after the Play-In Tournament.

Millwaukee 3rd in the East

Milwaukee are 45-25, sitting 2.5 games back of the Eastern Conference leading 76ers. They are also a game and a half behind the Brooklyn Nets, with the final two game of the regular season in the next two days remaining. The Nets play the Cavs tomorrow, and the Bucks will play the Bulls in Chicago.

The Heat are in 6th in the East, and have a chance to draw level with the Atlanta Hawks with a win tonight. Depending on the Heat’s next two games and the Hawks matchup against the Rockets tomorrow, Miami could jump from sixth to fifth as they hold the tie breaker over the Hawks.

Giannis to play limited minutes?

The big question tonight, is how much will Giannis Antetokounmpo play after logging 35 minutes in the Bucks win over the Pacers on Thursday. The two time NBA MVP could play limited time as Milwaukee looks to the playoffs.
The Bucks are the league’s top scoring team dropping 120 points a game. They are also tied for the lead in rebounds per game with just a shade under 50 boards a game.

Butler top dog for the Miami

Jimmy Butler leads the Heat in scoring with 21.5 ppg, to go along with his 7 assists an night. The Heat have struggled at times this season, but are hitting stride at the right time as we inch closer to the playoffs. Last time out they took down the leaders of the East in a 106-94 win over the 76ers.
The Bucks have won 10 of their last 13, while the Heat have won 11 of their last 14 including their last four.
Last year the Heat beat the Bucks in the second round of the playoffs on their way the NBA Finals.
