Atlético Madrid 2-1 Osasuna: as it happened
Top of LaLiga
As things stand, Atlético are one win away from winning the LaLiga title. They travel to Valladolid next week.
Luis Suárez post-match: "We didn't deserve to suffer so much. We were very good in the first half but to win a league you have to suffer. Everyone is in this battle together, to win this league. Strikers have to live in these types of situations. It's easy to lose the head at times but you have to keep going and I'm proud of that. We depend on ourselves now and we've the most important game of the season coming up, one we have to win."
And Simeone runs down the tunnel! Another 3 points for Atleti!

Atlético Madrid 1-1 Osasuna
The left-back bursts into the box before unleashing a belter into the top corner!

Atlético's title chase is falling apart in front of their own eyes. Disaster for Simeone's men after having all the chances in the world to take the lead.

It initially looked like Oblak saved it, but replays show that the header was indeed across the line. It's a smashing header and the away side take the lead against the run of play.
Budimir puts Osasuna ahead!
Carrasco gets to the byline before smashing a cross into the box. Both Correa and Suárez miss it. 0-0
Simeone asks for calm once again, but time is running out!

Nacho has put Real Madrid 1-0 up against Athletic in Bilbao, meaning that they now lead at the top of LaLiga!
But...once again it's offside!
OFF Saúl & Hermoso
ON João Félix & Lodi
Herrera stops the Argentine's volley, it's hit so well after Trippier headed into the box. Herrera comes to the rescue once again for Osasuna.
Atlético Madrid 0-0 Osasuna
The goal has been ruled out for offside!
Now this is a huge decision!
We're going to VAR!
A beautiful turn from Correa inside the box, Osasuna defend well, as Atleti look for ways through.
Simeone is almost playing as a left-back! He's up and down as usual, screaming, jumping, waving...
Marcos Llorente fires a left-footed over. It's high and wide of the Osasuna goal. Ambitious effort but with the form he's in, why not?
As things stand...
Marcos Llorente plays Luis Suárez through but the 34-year-old slips as he tries to control it.
If Atlético can repeat the intensity of the first half and create the same number of chances, you would expect them to find the net this half.
Atlético get us underway for the second half!
Real Madrid are drawing 0-0 and Barcelona are drawing 1-1 meaning we're still in the same position as we were at the start of this evening's games!
As things stand, we're going to have another week of drama next week!
The players are back out on the pitch here!
The home side have been on top in the opening 45 minutes, coming close with efforts from Suárez, Saúl, Koke and Correa, however, Herrera has come out on top in goal for Osasuna.
Atlético have done everything but score!
HT: Atlético Madrid 0-0 Osasuna
There will be two minutes of added time.
Herrera in goal for Osasuna has been outstanding so far, which tells you all you need to know!
What a sweet strike from Saúl, he whips one from 25 yards, it comes off the outside of Herrera's left-hand post. Simeone almost falls to his knees...
More good work from Suárez earns Atleti a corner. it's taken short but Osasuna defend well as Correa tries an audacious trick that goes out for a goalkick. Atleti really should be ahead here.
Trippier is being a nightmare for Osasuna down the right, the balls finds it's way to Koke in the box. His shot takes a deflection and goes out for a corner. Atleti continue to push and push.
This time it's Correa who shoots, 16 yards from goal, he lets it bounce once but blasts the ball high over Herrera's crossbar.
Atlético Madrid 0-0 Osasuna
Trippier works a couple of yards of space for himself down the right, before crossing to the back post, it's just too strong for Saúl, who does manage to head it, but head it wide.
We have a water break here at the Wanda. Simeone is talking to his players - I think he'll be asking for more of the same. They've been well on top.
LUIS SUÁREZ SHOOTS!
Suárez finds himself in on goal once again, this time from the right side of the box, after flicking it through two. He pulls his effort wide of the post. Atlético really need to score one of these chances.
Fantastic strike, fantastic save!
Correa takes the cross down on his chest, spins and volleys but Herrera pulls off a fine save.
Marcos Llorente flies down the right wing but can't pick anyone out in the box, He's been in fantastic form this season, the best season of his career to date.
Ángel Correa has been excellent in the opening 20+ minutes, running into the channels, causing havoc for Osasuna.
Atlético go so close to taking the lead through Luis Suárez. Correa picks him out at the back post, and from 7 yards out he hits the post, when he should really have scored. It remains goalless.
SUÁREZ OFF THE POST!
Suárez with the flick!
Mario Hermoso crosses superbly from the left flank, he whips it along the ground. It's aimed for Suárez, who tries to flick it home. He doesn't get full contact, but that would've been a moment of genius.
Suárez is through on the inside left channel, he strikes it low but fails to get a clean connection on it and Herrera is there to pick up the pieces again. Atlético are going for this but have yet to really find that precision in front of goal.
The corner falls to Carrasco on the edge of the box, his left-footed finds Herrera in goal, who has been busy so far.
Atlético earn themselves a corner! Koke to take...
Simeone is on the touchline asking for calm! It's very early, but never too early for nerves!
Osasuna have yet to really threaten Atleti. With Ante Budimir up front, they do have a striker who knows where the net is. Atleti will be too focused on scoring today but they'll also need to be aware of the threat that the side from Pamplona possesses.
That was the best chance of the game, Suárez places it low to Herrera's left, the away keeper does really well to deny the Uruguayan.
WHAT A SAVE BY HERRERA!
The Osasuna keeper gets down to stop Luis Suárez from putting Atleti ahead. 0-0
The goals are going in across the country - Valencia have taken the lead against relegation-threatened Eibar.
Carrasco goes close for Atlético after some nice work involving Marcos Llorente. The Belgian winger drags his 20-yard shot wide. It wasn't struck very well but Atleti are pushing.
Mario Hermoso spots Herrera off his line and hits a shot from the halfway line but Herrera is alert to it. What a way that would have been to opening the scoring!
Good play from Trippier down the right to earn a corner for the home side. Osasuna clear the resulting corner.
Osasuna have set up with two very narrow lines, possibly leaving Atleti with no choice other than to go wide, which will suit Trippier and Carrasco.
Luis Suárez falls over 25 yards from goal, it's not a foul, but he looks for a free.
Atleti won at home during the week, beating Real Sociedad 2-1.
Atlético Madrid are playnig from right to left as we watch it!
Atleti are red-hot favourites to beat Osasuna today, who have lost eight of their last 10 away games against Los Rojiblancos.
Los Colchoneros are on the pitch! We're still waiting for Osasuna.
Leading the charge up front for Atleti today is Luis Suárez, who has scored 19 goals in his first season at the club since joining from Barcelona.
Suarez, 34, won four LaLiga titles during his time at Barca and Simeone will be expecting him to use all that experience to ensure Atleti do not slip up in their final two games.
The players are in the tunnel!
If Atlético win the title this evening, it'll be their first since 2014, when they won it under current head coach Diego Simeone.
We're less than 10 minutes away from kick-off at the Wanda Metropolitano!

Luis Suárez has been linked with a move to Major League Soccer ever since leaving FC Barcelona in the summer of 2020. The Uruguayan striker had several offers on the table, but he decided to continue his career in Spain with Atlético Madrid.
Suárez signed a two-year contract with the Colchoneros meaning that on 30 June 2022 he will become a free agent. He is 34 years old and even though he has openly expressed his desire to play in Major League Soccer before he retires, he said that in football anything can happen, especially as he is still under contract.
