According to market specialists, Translermarkt, Real Madrid have ten players, which equate to a value of 177 million euro currently out on loan.

The situation at the club has changed with Zidane's departure and Carlo Ancelotti will now need to sit down with his backroom staff and assess each case on a player by player basis. Of the ten, only  Brahim with AC Milan and Borja Mayoral with AS Roma can claim to have enjoyed successful campaigns in 2020/21.

Ceballos: Zidane leaving changes dynamic

Jovic: wanted in Germany

The Serbian striker has been a major disappointment since his 60 million euro to Madrid from Eintracht Frankfurt. After a series of false dawns in the white shirt, the striker was sent on loan back to former club Frankfurt with the Bundesliga side anxious to retain the 23-year-old in their ranks for next season. The German club, however are not prepared to pay anything like the initial transfer fee but it's unlikely the Serbian will be donning the white shirt in LaLiga next year.

Borja Mayoral: a hit in Rome

The striker was a success in the Italian capital and will undoubtedly play under new manager Jose Mourinho next season with one year remaining on his loan deal. AS Roma also have an option to buy for 15 million euro and Mayoral was one of the first players the new Portuguese coach contacted after taking over at the Serie A side in March.

Kubo: focus on Tokyo 2020

After a disappointing spell with Villarreal where the player was deemed surplus to requirement, the Japanese international struggled to break into a Getafe side under coach Bordalas as the club flirted with relegation. Despite glimmers of promise, the central player has yet to really make the breakthrough with his personal sights now focused on the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
