A spot in the NBA Finals will be on the line Monday night as the Phoenix Suns return home with a chance to close out the series.

The hottest team in the playoffs won their tenth game in their last eleven in Game 4 at the Staples Center. The Suns led from start to finish after jumping out to a 14-2 lead out of the gate. Despite a big third quarter from Reggie Jackson and LA, the Suns were able to hold off the home to put themselves in a commanding lead 3-1 lead.

Kawahi out for Game 5

The Clippers were without Kawhi Leonard for a sixth straight game on Saturday and will be without him for the potential elimination game in Arizona. Leonard has been sidelined since Game 5 of the Western Conference Semifinals, and LA has not revealed many details about the extent of the former NBA Champion’s injured right knee.

After sweeping the Nuggets in comfortable fashion last round, the Suns have had to battle until the final seconds to secure their triumphs in this series. Phoenix’s three wins this series have been won by a combined total of 11 points.

Suns looking for their first Finals since 1993

This isn’t the first time the Clippers have had their backs against the wall this postseason. They have comeback from 0-2 holes twice already, and will have to make it a third time if they want a chance to get to the finals. They find themselves down two games, but at 3-1 they have no room for error.

If the Suns take the game and the series at home on Monday it would be their first time in the NBA Finals since losing to the Bulls in 1993.

When does Game 5 start?

The fifth game of the Western Conference Semis between the Los Angeles Clippers and Phoenix Suns will take place on Monday 28 June at Phoenix Suns Arena. The game gets underway at 9:00 pm ET / 5:30 pm PT.
