How many olympic medals has Allyson Felix won in her career?

Felix, the most-decorated athlete in track and field looks forward to medal in her fifth Olympic debut in order to become the unquestioned GOAT.

The U.S. Olympic Track & Field roster is in place for the Games featuring a bevy of veterans combined with a legion of 81 first-time Olympians.

The American track and field sprinter specialized in the 200 m sprint for 10 years, also she become specialized in 400 m sprint too later in her career apart from managing to expand onto the 100 m, 4 x 100 m and 4 x 400 m relay.

Having been three-time consecutive world champion between 2005-2009 in her all-time specialization 200m and 2015 400m world champion, Felix looks forwards to achieve her 10th medal at this summer’s Olympics.

Felix: Olympic debut

Seventeen years after she won her first medal at her debut in Athens 2004 in the 200 m competition, the 35-year-old shows no signs of backing up in what will be her fifth participation in the Olympic Games.

Since 2004 silver award, Allyson Felix has achieved six gold and two more silver medals, a total of nine.

At her signature event 200 meters, she is the 2012 Olympic champion, and is also two-time Olympic silver medalist (2004 and 2008).

On the other hand, while her specialization in 400 meters came a bit after, she still managed to achieve silver in 2016

Felix has been decorated with there five Olympic gold medals as a member of the US team: three at 4x400 m in 2008 and 2016 and two at the 4 x 100 m in 2012 and 2016 Olympics. American appearance in the 2012 Olympics set the record that still stands in the 4 x 100 m.

Felix: The record-breaker

Used to breaking Olympic records, Felix is the only women track and field athlete to win six Olympic gold medals, and is tied with Merlene Ottey as the most decorated female in track and field’s history.

Felix is also the most decorated athlete, male or female, in World Champions’s history with 18 career medals, with 13 of them gold.

A medal away from the GOAT

Given her history of record breaks, wouldn’t be surprising that she medals at this Tokyo 2020 and unties with Ottey, becoming the most decorated female in the skill.
