The Los Angeles Times has reported that 56 percent of Californias are fully vaccinated and that more than two-thirds of residents have received at least one shot.

With 82% of those over 65 years of age fully vaccinated, Seniors in the Golden State lead among age groups with the highest levels of vaccination followed by those between the ages of 50-64 (76%), 18-49 (61%), and 12-17 (51%).

Where do I go to download by vaccine record?

After getting a covid-19 vaccine in the US, your provided will distribute a vaccination card to prove that you have received your shots.

The California Digital COVID-19 Vaccine Record (DCVR) Portal “allows Californians to download their COVID-19 vaccination record.”

However, to obtain your digital record, you will need to provide the following:

  • Information on your covid-19 vaccination, such as the location and date

  •  The e-mail address or phone number provided when you made your appointment.

The information provided to the portal must watch what is found in the California Immunization Registry.

Once the record has been requested, an e-mail with a link to a QR code valid for 24 hours will be sent. This QR code can be scanned and used as proof of vaccination.

Error messages and Trouble Shooting

If an error message presents itself after enting the information required, it could be a sign that the data provided doesn’t match the records. On the website for the portal, some troubleshooting options are available.

The state mentions that the “most common cause” for why an error message is received is that the “information submitted to the registry by your vaccination provider is different or incomplete.” These errors could relate to the “Cell phone number or email address,” a name being spelled differently, or the birthdate being inserted incorrectly.

Another reason the records may not appear is that the vaccination provider has yet to submit your information to the state. In this case, it is best to “contact your provider to request that your record be updated.”

Updates to your vaccination record can also be completed using the Virtual Assistant, and the state may contact you in need of additional information. Normally the state will notify the individual with their “findings and remediation actions within 2-3 weeks.”
