"Haaland is 100% going to Real Madrid," says Vieri source

Christian Vieri didn't mess about when asked about the Norwegian striker's future as he chatted with Antonio Cassano, who's money is on Bayern.

A conversation between Christian Vieri and Antonio Cassano in Italy (on Bobo TV, his Twitch channel) has set everyone off about who will be Real Madrid's next Galáctico. In the chat, the names of some of the players who have recently been linked to Los Blancos came up, including a certain lover of goals by the name of Erling Haaland.

Haaland to Madrid talk

"I've been told: ‘Watch out, Bayern want to sign Haaland'. And also that Madrid want Lewandowski for a couple of years. It would make sense to me," said Cassano, putting the subject firmly on the table.

Vieri was quick to respond on the matter.

"Well, I've been told that Haaland is going to Madrid 100 per cent. That's what they tell me… but I don't know if it's true.”

Cassano wasn’t having it: “So ciao Mbappé, then!” he surmised.

But the truth, according to our own sources at AS, is that in this new Galáctico roadmap set out in Madrid's offices there are four names that have become clear targets, namely, Mbappé, Haaland, Lewandowski and Pogba. The latter, the French midfielder at Manchester United, is out of contract next season and could arrive for free. Mbappé is in the same situation but could actually arrive in January for a smaller fee, depending on what is happening in Ligue 1, LaLiga and the Champions League by that stage.

Haaland is seen as a signing to follow Mbappé, but PSG are expected to be one of many putting up a big fight for the Norwegian’s signature. The record-breaking Pole in Munich is an alternative in the shorter term.
