The Panthers have already slashed the Texans, but the remaining match-ups in the NFL Week 3 have us, as usual, cancelling our Sunday plans.

Week 3 of the 2021 NFL regular season got underway with Thursday Night Football as the Carolina Panthers made relatively light work of the Texans in Houston. And that taster has got our weekend juices flowing as we head into Sunday Night Football. Let's check out what's on offer...

NFL: Sunday Night Football - Week 3

One of the highlights of this week's football is watching how the Tampa Bay Buccaneers get on against the Los Angeles Rams at the SoFi stadium, with the action getting underway today at 4:25 p.m. There are many who believe this dual could well be the NFC Championship Game later in the season, so this will be a good marker for where the teams are at.

The bookmakers are edging towards the Rams for this one, possibly influenced somewhat by their 27-24 win in Tampa Bay, back in Week 11 in the previous campaign. Their victory over the Indianapolis Colts last Sunday by the same score saw Aaron Donald, three-time NFL defensive player of the year, getting the best of Quenton Nelson, an All-Pro in each of his three NFL seasons.

Tom Brady starred once again for the Buccaneers as they enjoyed a 48-25 triumph over the Atlanta Falcons last week, with the Super Bowl champions recording a new NFL record, scoring at least 30 points in each of their last nine outings. Their quarterback threw five touchdowns, the eighth time the former Patriot has thrown five TDs in a game. What’s more, his nine TDs in two games is his career best for back-to-back matches. What will he have up his sleeves today?

In terms of a game prediction, Brian Sausa, author on PlayPicks, called it for the home team.

"The Rams are slight favorites in the Bucs’ first road game of the season. These two teams are quite similar in some ways but in what is virtually a toss-up game, we’re taking the Rams at home to handle business against a Bucs defense that hasn’t quite had the same bite to it early on.

"We’ve said it before, but Stafford is a perfect fit for Sean McVay and is the missing link in this offense. That combined with how Aaron Donald and this defense get after it at home, someone has to win at a packed-out SoFi before we take the other side."
