Luka Doncic's noticeable weight difference a factor in NBA?

Luka Doncic, star guard for the Dallas Mavericks, has spent a grueling summer getting in shape. He has been criticized in the past for being out of shape.

Update:
Luka Doncic's noticeable weight difference a factor in NBA?

Luka Doncic's weight has been a topic of discussion since last year, when social media went on and on about him being out of shape. The weight didn't seem to make much of a difference to the star guard for the Dallas Mavericks, as he went on to complete a career-high of 46 points in a game against the Pelicans in February, a career-high of 20 assists in May against the Wizards, and became the fourth NBA player to ever record a 30-point triple-double with at least 20 assists, also making him the youngest player to ever achieve that feat at just 22 years old. Later in May, he scored another career-high points per game at 44 and then again in June with 46.

Just after the season ended, Doncic went on to lead the Slovenian Men's National team to the Tokyo Olympics for the first time ever, where they would win the bronze medal. Doncic's talent cannot be denied; the proof is in the puddin'. Whether he appears out of shape or not seems not to matter, considering all his accomplishments despite the comments. But this year, the comments have been more about how jacked he's become after all that training and hardly any days off.

The Dallas Mavericks play their first regular season game on Friday, October 22 against the Charlotte Hornets.
