Christian Pulisic begins individual fitness work

Another week has passed and Christian Pulisic has not fully recovered from the ankle injury he suffered last month during the international break with the United States men’s national team. The 23-year-old was expected to recover in roughly 10 days when he arrived back at Stamford Bridge, but he's been sidelined for over a month now.

Injury update

The good news is that Pulisic is starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel and Chelsea have confirmed that he has begun doing individual fitness work. Last week, head coach Thomas Tuchel said that the USMNT player suffered a few setbacks on his road to recovery, but now he is working on his fitness to return to availability soon.

Pulisic was in action at Cobham as he returned to the training field away from the main group to conduct some individual fitness work,” read the article from the club’s 5th Stand App.

There is more good news for Tuchel as N’Golo Kante returned to full practice this week and he could see some minutes against Newcastle this weekend. On the other hand, Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner are still recovering from their respective injuries and no timeline has been set for their return.
