94

Van de Beek! The Dutchman does well to get a shot off from the edge of the six-yard area on the left, but Musso saves.

Ronaldo, he's only gone and done it again, as Greenwood tees him up and Portuguese rifles a volley into the bottom left corner.

92

Ronaldo!!!! 2-2!!!!

90

Shaw puts a free kick delivery into the box, but it's cleared. Five minutes of added time to be played.

88

Van de Beek and Sancho come on for United, Fernandes and McTominay go off.

85

Zapata shoots! A snap shot from the Colombian striker from distance and the dip almost catches De Gea. But the Spaniard manages to punt it out for a corner.

83

Sancho and Van de Beek readying to come on for United, who have been dominating possession but are offering close to nothing in an attacking threat. Something needs to change and fast if they are going to find yet another last gasp goal.

79

Cavani gives the ball away on the left deep inside his own half and Zapata is free in the center as the cross comes in. Again, Bailly is on hand to snuff out the danger, sticking out a leg to impede the pass to Zapata.

75

After several minutes of possession, United finally get a ball into the box through a Shaw cross from the left. Wan-Bissaka is on hand to strike but the shot is blocked by his team mate Greenwood.

71

Change for Atalanta as goalscorer Ilicic makes way for Muriel.

Matic latches on to the loose ball and the shot is deflected for the corner. Shaw takes but hits the ball over everyone and runs out for a goal kick.

Goal disallowed for Atalanta! Zapata gets in behind the United and blasts the ball into the net. Maguire had his hand up immediately for the offside and the linesman agrees. But VAR is now checking....

55

McTominay late in on Freule, he's got to be careful being on one yellow card.

54

Cavani, Sancho and Fred have been warming up on the sidelines. We could see one of them come on for United soon.

51

First booking of the game goes to Scott McTominay for a trailing arm that struck De Roon as the pair battled for the ball.

49

Greenwood hits the post! But he's offside as the first-time pass from Rashford comes. Greenwood tries a shot from a tight angle and blasts it against the near post, but then the flag goes up so it wouldn't have counted. United looking good in attack in these early stages of the first half.

46

Second half starts

Atalanta get the second half underway.

That goal was Ronaldo's 8th in 11 games for United so far this season.

Atalanta took an early lead through Ilicic and looked the better side against a United side who were offering very little attack. But eventually Ronaldo came to the rescue to finish off a well-worked team goal in injury time for the visitors, who return to the top of the group with the scores as they are. Villarreal lead 1-0 against Young Boys in the other group F fixture.

48

Half time!

The ref calls time on the first half as the teams head the tunnel with score at 1-1.

46

Ronaldo scores to level things for United!

United cut open the Atalanta defence with some neat one-touch passing as Fernandes plays the final pass to Ronaldo, who slots home from 10 yards out. A great team goal and a very important goal right before the break for United. It's 1-1 in Bergamo.

43

United in possession and trying to build something but Atalanta defending well and not giving them an inch.

37

Varane comes off injured

Rafael Varans has had to come off with an injury as the Frenchman must have pulled something. Mason Greenwood comes on for the defender as Solksjaer tries to add something to what has so far been a very unproductive United attacking line.

35

Another United defensive blunder allows Atalanta to break but again Bailly is on hand to block the shot.

31

Bailly saves a cetain Atalanta goal! A huge blunder in the United defence puts Zapata one on one with De Gea inside the box but Bailly comes to block the shot, saving his team mates from a big embarrassment.

29

Ronaldo pressing hard on a defender and forcing the ball into touch within Atalanta's third -- not something you see often.

22

Zapata gets in behind the United defence on the right and blasts his ball over the near post. He had a team mate in acres of space to his left had he only looked up.

20

Nice play from United ends with Pogba giving a dinked pass to Ronaldo, who tries a glancing header but it goes well wide.

19

Ronaldo jumps to compete for the ball with Atalanta goalkeeper Musso right on the goal line, but the ref blows for a foul on Musso.

16

Luke Shaw! Ronaldo beats his man on the right and floats a cross towards Shaw, who strikes a first-time volley. But he drives the ball into the ground in front of him and it bounces over the bar.

12

Atalanta take the lead!

Zapata beats Wan Bissaka and plays a ball across the box to Ilicic, who strikes a low shot towards goal. De Gea gets a hand to it but he spills and the ball goes into the back of the net. There has been a VAR check for an possible offside in the build-up, but the goal stands.

09

Atalanta with their first threat as Pasalic tries to release Zapata, who struggles to control the ball with his first touch by the edge of the box.

05

United hit the post!

McTominay's strike from just inside the box takes a wicked deflection that takes the speed out of the ball and it almost crawls over the line, but instead tips the post.

04

Only 800 United fans in attendance but "Viva Ronaldo" can be heard loud and clear from the away section of the stands.

01

Ronaldo with an early strike from distance. It's on target but straight to the hands of Musso.

Game starts

United get the game underway! Both teams take the knee against racism.

The teams are on the field and ready to with Manchester United playing in Bergamo for their first time. If United win tonight, they will only need 1 point from their final two games. If they lose, they could see themselves eliminated with defeat to Villarreal in game 5.

Lindelof has not travelled to Bergamo

Victor Lindelof will miss Manchester United's Champions League game against Atalanta after picking up a knock in training Monday.  The club said the centre-back did not make the trip to Bergamo ahead of Tuesday's Group F clash.

Lindelof played in the back alongside Harry Maguire and Raphael Varane in Saturday's 3-0 defeat of Tottenham. With Ole Gunnar Solskjaer sticking with a back three, Eric Bailly will step in for Lindelof against Atalanta.

Bruno Fernandes: "We have such good qualities"

Bruno Fernandes gave his take before tonight's game. He starts in a three-man midfield with Pogba and McTominay as Solskjaer opts for another 5-3-2 following the successful formation change for the game against Spurs...

Chelsea, Wolfsburg secure wins

In the two early kick offs, Chelsea won 1-0 away at Malmo thanks to Hakim Zyech's lone goal, while Wolfsburg beat RB Salzbur 2-1 at home.

Ronaldo aiming to hurt Italians once more

United are looking to record their 150th victory in the European Cup/Champions League, which would make them the first English side to reach this milestone, and fourth overall after Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Barcelona.

Having failed to win in five domestic games prior to Sunday, pressure was starting to pile on Solskjaer. A third win in a row in the Champions League will boost confidence further.

Cristiano Ronaldo will be aiming to break Atalanta hearts as he did when he scored the winner in a 3-2 turnaround at Old Trafford on matchday three. Since returning to United, Cristiano Ronaldo has scored in all three of his Champions League appearances – the last player to score in four consecutive appearances for the club in the competition was Ruud van Nistelrooy in April 2003. De Gea, Wan-Bissaka, Pogba, Bailly, Maguire, Shaw, McTominay Pogba, Fenandes, Rashford, Ronaldo.

Group F standings

United currently sit top of the table, after winning their last two games against Atalanta and Villarreal, making up for their shock loss against Young Boys, who have lost their previous two games following that opening day win against Red Devils. And with Villarreal and Atalanta on 4 points each, it's all still very much to play for in Group F. A win tonight for United would see them as firm favorites for the top spot.

Atalanta-Man Utd: Last meeting

United found themselves 2-0 down within the first half hour against Atalanta the last time these two met 15 days ago. But a three-goal rout in the second half saw the Red Devils pull off a second UCL last gasp victory at home, although Ronald's late goal in the 81st minute came 13 minutes before that against Villarreal two weeks prior.
