Black Friday 2021: when do the best sales start at Amazon, Kohl's, Walmart, and more

Black Friday is nearly upon us, meaning mega discounts on plenty of products. The new shopping 'holiday' has been the busiest day of retail shopping since 2005, and this year is likely to be no different.

It is always held the day after Thanksgiving and is followed by Cyber Monday, when more deals are to be found. Beware, however, as sometimes the best deals can be found at other times of the year, and at better prices. In the UK, consumer watchdog, Which?, found that more than 90 percent of Black Friday deals were the same price or cheaper in the six months before the weekend of sales.

So bear this in mind before you spend your money, as good deals can be found at plenty of other times, not just on Black Friday. All things said, here are when some of the best begin. Make sure you are finding the best deal for you!

Amazon

Tech items are always the most sought after deals during Black Friday, and Amazon has again this year dropped prices on a lot of its wares. Shoppers can find Kindle E-readers up to 44% cheaper or perhaps they are looking for Kid's Fire Tablets which they can get for half off.

Amazon looking to get you to connect your house has Echo devices slashed 40% to 50% off as well. Looking to secure your home, Blink Outdoor Camera + Echo Bundle sets can be found for up to 58% off. Amazon also has discounts on a range of select brands from pet food and tools to home items and sporting goods ranging from 15% to 30% off or more.

Kohl's

Kohl’s offers a range of items for shoppers for the home and getting away on a holiday, and you can pick up something new to wear for both occasions, as well as toys for the kids and adults alike. One of the best Black Friday deals for those looking to get away is 66% off Samsonite luggage perfect for that next trip.

Do you want to stay at home this holiday? You can pick up a 5-quart KitchenAid stand mixer for 27% off to bake to your heart’s delight. Or a Altavida weighted blanket for just $21, 74% off, to curl up on the sofa to enjoy a hot cup of tea and a book or watch that movie or show you’ve been waiting to see.

Target

Shoppers will want to check out the deals that Target is offering this year with a range of items 40% to 50% off, videogames reduced by 60%. Target is offering holiday toys at great discounts, the price on Lego sets will be up to 30% cheaper and a range of favorite toy brands up to 50%. Technology will also be discounted with up to $60 knocked off Apple products, 40% off computers and 50% off home security and smart home devices.

Walmart

During November again this year Walmart has been offering deals spread out over the whole month. The latest round began on Monday and will run through Cyber Monday but some items will be long gone before then. Walmart is offering its Walmart Plus subscribers exclusive early access to various deals, making it easier to buy things before they sell out. A recent example was a supply of much-sought PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X game consoles. The restock earlier this week was for members first and sold out. Whether or not another load will be coming before Christmas hasn't been announced yet.
