When could Cristiano Ronaldo play in MLS?

The five time Ballon d’Or winner wants to play in Europe’s top-tier clubs, but there is a possibility that he plays in Major League Soccer before he retires.

Estados UnidosUpdate:

Cristiano Ronaldo returned to Manchester United this summer after three years at Juventus. At 36-years-old he remains in peak form and he has scored 13 goals and provided two assists in 18 appearances with the Red Devils across all competitions.

Could he play in MLS? .

Ronaldo’s contract with Manchester United expires in June of 2023, but the club has the option for a further year, which means he could play with the Premier League side until he is 40-years-old. So the only real possibility for him to play in Major League Soccer is if he doesn’t get that contract extension and departs from the Premier League side in 2023.

He would be 39-years-old and he could still have enough in the tank to perform at the highest level and play for a season or two in MLS. Only a few clubs could afford signing the five time Ballon d’Or winner and offer him and his family the best lifestyle.

Los Angeles Galaxy and the Los Angeles Football Club are realistic options for the Portuguese superstar, but there is one team that has the advantage, Inter Miami. David Beckham, owner of Inter Miami, has the power to convince Ronaldo to play in MLS and would be able to satisfy the striker's financial demands.
