The NFL has updated the schedule for Week 17 of the regular season and moved the time slots of two Sunday games.

The league reported that the game between the Los Angeles Rams and the Baltimore Ravens has been moved down from 4:25 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. ET. The game between the Carolina Panthers and the New Orleans Saints meanwhile has been moved up from 1:00 p.m. to 4:25 p.m.

Rams aim for the top

The game between the Rams and the Ravens will have big consequences on the playoffs. Los Angeles (11-4) has already booked its ticket to the postseason; but, riding high on its four-game winning streak, is also gunning for the NFC division title and only playoff bye.

Meanwhile, Baltimore (8-7) desperately needs a victory to stay in the running for a wild card berth, after enduring four straight losses. The team has been missing the services of their quarterback, two-time Pro Bowler Lamar Jackson since he suffered an ankle injury. The 24-year-old has already skipped two games.

The Ravens also found themselves without backup quarterback Tyler Huntley for their game last Sunday after he was put on the reserve/covid-19 list.

Saints try to stay alive

The game between the Panthers and the Saints is less consequential in terms of the playoffs. Carolina has joined seven other teams in the list of those officially eliminated from the postseason, but New Orleans still has a shot at a place in the playoffs.

The Saints are currently at 7-7 as they head into their Week 16 game against the Dolphins. Their game against the Panthers will not only help them keep their hopes of making it to the playoff alive, it will also be a chance to get back at the team that handed them a painful loss in Week 2.

The Rams vs. Ravens and Panthers vs. Saints games will both be broadcast on FOX. The rest of the lineup for Week 17 has been unchanged at the moment.
