The legend of Tom Brady grows as each season passes, with week goes by, and on every snap he takes. What we are seeing from the GOAT is unprecedented, but of course if what he was doing on a weekly basis was common then he really wouldn’t be considered the GOAT.

The GOAT leads every major QB stat category

The 44 year old has won more Super Bowls (7) than any one in history, he has more passing yards (84,520) than anyone is history, and has thrown more touchdowns (624) than anyone in history. But the one stat coming into this weeks Divisional Round of the playoffs is one of the more eye opening that we’ve seen from TB12’s incredible career.

This stat not only speaks to his greatness on the field, but also fo his longevity in one of the most brutal, demanding sports on the planet.

Their are eight teams left in the NFL playoffs four in the NFC, four in the AFC. Of the seven opposing coaches Brady could potentially square up against through the remainder of the post season, four of those teams have a coach that is younger than Tom Brady.

It started with Sirianni

Tom Terrific already made due with one coach that was born after him. Nick Sirianni unexpectedly lead his Philadelphia Eagles to the playoffs at the age of 40 only to be stomped by Brady and the Bucs in the first round of the playoffs.

Tampa Bay will be hoping they have the same sort of fortune with all the coaches Brady’s junior, especially when you consider all of the remaining coaches in the NFC are younger the the Bucs’ signal caller.

This week’s opponent, the Los Angeles Rams coach Sean McVay is the youngest coach in the league at 35 years old. That means by the time McVay graduated from high school in Brookhaven, Georgia in 2004 Brady had already won two Super Bowls.

Reid, Vrabel and McDermott the only coach left older than Brady

If Brady advances to the NFC Championship game he will match up against either Green Bay Packers coach Matt LaFleur who is 42 or San Francisco 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan, who is also 42.

If Brady and the Bucs advance to the Super Bowl and beat the Cincinnati Bengals at Sofi Stadium on February 13th, then that would mean Brady beat four coaches that were younger that him on his way to his eighth Lombardi Trophy.

The only coaches that are older than Brady coming into the Divisional Round of the playoffs are Bucs Bruce Arians (69), Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid (63), and Sean McDermott (47).

It is true that there is a growing trend of younger coaches in the NFL, but it is also true that no one has ever done, and like will never do what Tom Brady is doing at the age of 44.
