Sports schedule after the Super Bowl: Beijing 2022 NBA All-Star, March Madness, The Masters

You know that empty feeling inside that you get when you look forward to something for so long, and then BOOM in the blink of an eye it’s over? If you woke up with that feeling in your stomach this morning, don’t worry you’re not the only one.

What to watch until next football season

For many of us around the world the end of the Super Bowl meant we’d wake up this morning with the memories of what was an incredible regular and post season. But also with the haunting realization that from today, February 14th, there are 213 days until Week 1 of next season.

Fret not fantaics, we are here to save you with a complete list of the biggest events around the sporting world. The good news is, we don’t even have to wait a day to recenter our focus to some of the biggest events of the year that will help fill that void until football is back in our lives.

Winter Olympics

The first event is already underway. If you have had playoff tunnel vision for the last month and a half, then you probably haven’t kept up on what’s happening in Beijing 2022. The Winter Olympics have been underway since February 4th and will run until February 20th. There are still medals to be won in Women’s Figure Skatings, Men’s and Women’s hockey, and Curling among many other events. Champions League

Football returns on Tuesday. Let me apologize, European football returns with the Champions League Round of 16. The highlight fixtures of this round are PSG vs. Real Madrid, Inter Milan vs. Liverpool and Atletico Madrid vs. Manchester United. Leg 1 will be played on the 15/16 and 23/24 of February, while the second leg in the first two weeks of March.

NBA All-Star weekend

Hoops fans will be in heaven in no time. The NBA All-Star weekend will be taking place this weekend, as the biggest stars in the game head to Cleveland, Ohio. The 3-point, Dunk and Skills contests will take place on the 20th of the February, while the All-Star game between Kevin Durant's team and LeBron Jame's teams will tip off the night after.

March Madness

The All-Star game will lead us right into the meat and potatoes of the college basketball season. The conference championships will precede March Madness with will begin at in the middle of March. Selection Sunday is the 13th of March with the First Four kicking things off a couple days later. The NCAA Title will be handed out at the conclusion of the Final Four from New Orleans on the 4th of April.

The Masters

The Thursday after we will head to Augusta to kick off the Major season in the PGA. Hideki Matsuyama will look to defend his Green Jacket from the 7th to the 10th of April.

NBA Playoffs

Soon after a champion is crowned in Augusta the focus shifts back to basketball when the 7-10 seeds in the Eastern and Western Conference fight for the final four spots in the postseason. The NBA Play-In Tournament will take place the weekend of the 12th of April and the playoffs will run all the way until the second week of June.

NFL Draft

We will get our first whiff of next football ball season with the NFL Draft which will take place from Ceasars Forum in Las Vegas, Nevada. The first pick will be announced on April 28th, and the festivities will wrap up two days later.

Stanley Cup Playoffs

For those who like their sports on ice, the Stanley Cup Playoffs will start on the 2nd of May and run until the end of June. By that time NFL teams will be just days away from starting training camps in the first few weeks of July.

Those 213 days may seem like a ways away, but what awaits us in that span will make it seem like the NFL season will be back in our lives in the blink of an eye.
