Tatum ties Larry Bird record with 54 points as Celtics beat Nets

Boston Celtics faced Brooklyn Nets on Sunday night at the TD Garden in an eagerly anticipated Eastern Conference clash with both teams looking to continue their push for a post-season placing.
Both Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant were in action for the Nets but it was Boston's Jayson Tatum who stole the headlines dropping 54 points as the Celtics ran out 126-120 winners.
This was the fourth time Tatum netted more than 50 points in a game and he now ties with legend Larry Bird for the most in Celtics history.
Durant dropped 37 points for Brooklyn but could not keep up with the relentless scoring of Boston's No. 0. The Celtics are 39-27 with less than a month of the regular season remaining,
