Real Madrid-PSG: times, how to watch on TV, how to stream online

Real Madrid will seek to overturn a 1-0 aggregate deficit when they welcome PSG to the Bernabéu on Wednesday night after a lacklustre display at the Parc des Princes was punished by Kylian Mbappé’s late winner. The France forward set alarm bells ringing when he limped out of training on Monday after a robust challenge from teammate Idrissa Gueye, but he has been included in Mauricio Pochettino’s squad for the trip to the Bernabéu, where the Argentinean tactician will hope to start his box office front three of Mbappé, Leo Messi and Neymar. Sergio Ramos has been definitively ruled out of the game as the former Madrid captain’s injury plagued season continues, but the defender has travelled with the PSG squad for moral support on his old stomping ground.

Kroos in Real Madrid squad but Casemiro suspended

Carlo Ancelotti has few injury problems ahead of Wednesday’s game but will be without key players Casemiro and Ferland Mendy through suspension. Eduardo Camavinga is likely to come in for the combative Brazilian, with either Marcelo or Nacho expected to fill in at left back. Toni Kroos passed a late fitness test to make the squad but Ancelotti stated that the Germany midfielder will only start if he is 100% fit. Fede Valverde will be waiting in the wings to deputize if necessary. Up front, Madrid have Karim Benzema and Vinicius fit to start, the only attacking incognito being whether Marco Asensio will accompany them or the Italian will opt for the unpredictability of Rodrygo - who has flourished in the Champions League over the past two seasons - as he did on three occasions in the group stage, for a return of a goal and two assists as well as the winner against Inter from the bench.

PSG arrive at a low ebb, having lost consecutive away games in Ligue 1 at Nantes and Nice and with fans unhappy at the team’s performances and the standard question marks lingering over Pochettino’s commitment to the cause beyond the end of the season. Mbappé will also be under the microscope, as he was at the Parc des Princes, due to the likelihood that he will be playing far more regularly at the Bernabéu as of next season. The France international fed on that sub-narrative in Paris, rising to the occasion and guiding his team to victory, and Pochettino will be desperate to start the prolific World Cup-winner with Messi out of sorts and Neymar returning from a lengthy injury lay-off.
