Who plays in the NBA today Monday 21 March?

The NBA action continues as we head ever closer to the end of the regular season with plenty still to be decided in both East and West Conferences.

With the 2021-22 NBA regular season, set to conclude in early April, there are still both play-off and play-in places up for grabs in both Conferences as the last few rounds of games get underway with nine in total scheduled for Monday night.

Monday, 21 March: NBA schedule

Heat @ 76ers: 7:30 pm (ET)

Arguably the most attractive match-up from the Monday selection of games sees Conference topping Miami (47-24) head to Philly to play third placed 76ers (43-27) at the Wells Fargo Center. This will be their fourth meeting of the regular season with Miami ahead 2-1 in the head-to head.

Tyler Hero (Miami) and Joel Embiid (Philadelphia) are the players to watch with an average of 21.1 and 29.8 points per game respectively.

Lakers @ Cavs: 7:00 pm (ET)

Basketball as they say is a team sport, but no-one can deny the individual impact LeBron James is having on the struggling LA Lakers this season.

Just this weekend, James passed Karl Malone for second place on the all-time regular season scoring list, but the Lakers suffered a fourth-quarter collapse to lose 127-119 against the Washington Wizards.

The 37-year-old now is behind only former Lakers great Kareem Abdul-Jabbar on the all-time NBA scoring list with 38,387 points. James now has 36,947 career points.

The Lakers lie tenth in the West and occupy the final play-in spot as they head to Ohio to face the Cavs who sit sixth in the East.
