Philadelphia has cast a spell on LeBron James, with the Los Angeles star pulling out of a Lakers-Sixers game once again.

On Wednesday afternoon, the Lakers ruled out their 37-year-old star due to left knee soreness ahead of Wednesday’s clash with the 44-27 Sixers. James also missed the Lakers-Sixers game on Jan. 27 for the same reason.

And while Anthony Davis and Kendrick Nunn are also out due to a mid-foot sprain and a knee bone bruise, the good news for the Lakers is that Joel Embiid and James Harden are expected to play tonight after missing Monday’s victory over the Miami Heat.

Los Angeles will have their eyes wide open on Harden, avoiding any returning signs of his left hamstring injury that sidelined him at the beginning of the year, with 11 games remaining.

Playing 18 of the last 19 games, King James’ 30.0 points per game leads the NBA. Giannis Antetokounmpo (29.7) and Kevin Durant (29.6) follow behind closely.

On Monday, James scored a 38-point triple-double in a 131-120 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Los Angeles (31-41) is ninth in the Western Conference, and 6-12 this year without their 18-time All-Star.

The Sixers’ road record is the best in the Eastern Conference, 23-11, and tonight’s game vs the Lakers is the first of a three-game West Coast road trip that will follow with the Clippers and Suns.
