Dallas Mavericks' guard Luka Doncic is feeling upbeat about the team's chances in the playoffs, regardless of which team they will face. The Slovenian guard hit 35 points, pulled down nine rebounds and dished out 13 assists in the Mavs' 120-112 win over Cleveland Cavaliers at the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.

"Obviously this year we have been way better defensively but when the playoffs come, I have a lot of confidence, no matter who we get," Doncic, who turned up for the press conference proudly wearing a Texas Rangers baseball cap. "Hopefully we will get a home court advantage, and play every game with confidence and just try to win".

Performance against the Cavaliers

Doncic said he was delighted with his own performance and that of the team as a whole, who shared out 28 assists between them during a brillant display in Cleveland.

"I think that a lot of the time, we've been carrying the ball well and our passing is getting better in every game. It's what we need to continue doing every day," he explained.

The Mavericks are fourth in the Eastern Conference (48-28) and play the first round of the playoffs against the Utah Jazz with a home court advantage.
