2024 MTV EMA Awards: Full list of nominations, date venue, how to vote
Taylor Swift dominates this year’s event with seven nominations, followed by Ariana Grande, Billie Eilish, Charli XCX and Sabrina Carpenter.
The MTV EMA Awards return next month with the 2024 edition to be hosted in Manchester for the first time. Last year’s event, which was due to be held in Paris, was canceled two weeks in advance because of the Israel–Hamas war.
Taylor Swift will be busy trekking across North America and Canada with the final leg of her Eras Tour set to resume this weekend, but she does have a break in her itinerary from 4-13 November so in theory, would be able to attend.
Swift dominates this year’s event with seven nominations - including the Best Singer award, which she has taken home in the previous two editions. She is also up for Best Video, Best Collaboration, Best Pop, Best Live and Biggest Fans.
Other artists with multiple nominations include Ariana Grande, Billie Eilish, Charli XCX and Sabrina Carpenter, who all have five each.
How to vote in the 2024 MTV EMA Awards
There are 18 main categories and 23 best local act categories which are open to the public for voting. The only category that is not open to fans is the award for the Best Video which is chosen by the MTV Music Editorial Team.
Fans from 23 regions around the world will be able to vote for their favorite artists in the Best Regional Act categories (“Best US Act”, “Best Spanish Act”... etc). Voting for the Biggest Fans category will be voted for at a later date on MTV’s social media platforms through @MTVEMA.
