The 2025 MTV Video Music Awards - better known as the VMAs - are set to light up New York’s UBS Arena this weekend.

Who’s hosting the VMAs?

Hip-hop legend LL Cool J will take center stage as the evening’s host, promising a night packed with unforgettable moments, just as fans have come to expect year after year.

The live performances will be nothing short of spectacular, featuring global superstars like Lady Gaga, J Balvin, Post Malone, Mariah Carey and Sabrina Carpenter.

A special tribute to Ozzy Osbourne is also on the lineup, after the rock icon died at the age of 76 in July.

Presenters will include big names such as Ashlee Simpson Ross, Jessica Simpson, comedian Nikki Glaser, and Paris Hilton - adding even more star power to the night.

Who has the most VMA nominations?

Lady Gaga leads the nominees, with 12 nods. The 18-time VMA winner is followed by Bruno Mars on 11 nominations, and Kendrick Lamar on 10.

When and where can I watch the 2025 VMAs?

The VMAs take place on Sunday, September 7, at 8:00 p.m. ET/5:00 p.m. PT. Music fans can catch all the action on MTV and CBS.
